Today was a beautiful celebration of the people who make our school so special.

Congratulations to our retirees Mrs. Austin, Mrs. Bailey, Mrs. G, Mrs. Bridget, Mrs. Kitchens, and Mr. Gentry. Thank you for the countless lives you have impacted, the wisdom you have shared, and the love you have poured into our students and staff over the years. Your legacy will continue to live on in these hallways and in the hearts of every child and coworker you’ve encouraged along the way. You will be deeply missed, and we wish you nothing but happiness in this next chapter.

We also recognized Ms. Mae and Ms. Kyle, who had previously retired but returned to continue serving our school family in different roles. We are so thankful for the extra time, love, and support you gave to our students and staff. While you may be “going home again,” we can’t wait to still have you around campus and part of our school family.

Congratulations as well to our Parent of the Year Mrs. Chastity McKnight, our Teacher of the Year and District Teacher of the Year Mrs. Autumn Ritchie, and our Paraprofessional of the Year Mrs. Brooke Luther. Thank you for the dedication, heart, leadership, and support you each bring to our school community every single day. We are so proud to celebrate each of you and the difference you make in the lives of our students and staff.

A special thank you to our amazing PTO and PTO President Lindsay Jolly for always supporting our school and making sure our teachers and students have what they need. Your generosity and encouragement mean so much to all of us.

And thank you to our administration for the wonderful brunch and for taking the time to celebrate and honor so many deserving people today.

Today was such a special reminder of how blessed we are to be surrounded by people who love, serve, and give so much to our school family. ❤️

School is officially out for summer! We hope you all have a fun, safe, and restful summer break filled with laughter, memories, and lots of sunshine. Thank you for an amazing year. We’ll miss our students and can’t wait to see everyone again soon!

South Pontotoc is headed to the state level Special Olympics!

Our athletes are traveling down today and will compete tomorrow. We are so proud of all their hard work, determination, and Cougar spirit! Please help us wish them the best of luck as they represent South Pontotoc Elementary School at the Mississippi Special Olympics! 🐾🏅

2nd grade had a blast celebrating Celebration Day with snow cones bought from their outdoor fun! ☀️🍧 From fun activities to sweet treats, it was a great day full of smiles and memories with friends!

Mrs. Holly Brown’s class is getting ready to float into summer! ☀️🐠🛟 They kicked back on pool floats and enjoyed a fun showing of Finding Nemo while soaking up every minute of the fun together!
