Pontoon Residents, if you live in Pontoon then you should have Republic Trash Service. I was just on the phone with our Rep from Republic. They are asking that people that are cleaning their houses, garages or whatever because the stay at home order, try if they can to put the clean up trash out in increments and not all at one time. Nameoki Township has canceled their big item pick up for April until this virus is over or slows down. Republic is getting overwhelmed with the amount of trash that people are bagging up and is asking that we put out a little each week instead of all at one time. This will also keep their drivers in their trucks more and not outside which will be safer for them. I told them that we as Village residents will do what we can to help with this issue and that we are all in this together. Just to be clear, the big item pickup is done by the Township and not Republic. Republic only picks up bagged trash so please do not set out old refrigerators etc for them!
