🚨 BIG NEWS FOR LONG LAKE FIRE DEPT! 🚨

We are thrilled to announce that Long Lake Fire Department has been awarded a $7,320 grant from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources! 1 out of 73 volunteer departments selected statewide, we are incredibly proud to be the only fire department in Madison County to receive this funding. 🌲🚒

As a 50% matching grant, this investment will inject nearly $15,000 worth of vital new equipment directly into our operations. These tools will significantly boost our capabilities during wildland fires, storm responses, and community rescues. Here is a look at the upcoming gear upgrades:

🔥 Hose Lines & Suppression: 16 sections of 1 ¾" hose, 6 sections of 1" hose, and 3 new nozzles.

🪓 Chainsaw Operations: Two 20" chainsaws, one 30" chainsaw, plus specialized safety helmets and protective chaps.

🍂 Debris Clearance: Two handheld blowers and two backpack blowers.
