All rise for the Honorable Judge Hercules!
Hercules is the new Canine Advocate assigned to Voices for Children, Flint. Though he might look a little judge-y, we can assure you he's all cuddles!

The Canine Advocates program matches advocate dogs with Child Advocacy Centers and Prosecutor's Offices across Michigan (and in Ohio!) These highly trained, extra-friendly pups comfort kids during their testimony in court, before and after forensic interviews, therapy appointments, and provide an overall calming presence in the face of trauma. Our canine advocates leave a paw shaped imprint on the hearts of every person they meet. đź’š

Making a donation to a nonprofit through your IRA counts toward satisfying your required minimum distribution (RMD), and neither you nor the charity will have to pay income taxes.

For more than 40 years, a portion of CARE House's funding has come from the federal Victims of Crime Act (VOCA). These funds are not taxpayer dollars. Rather, they come from restitution paid by convicted criminals.

In recent days, we learned of significant cuts that will take effect beginning October 1, 2026. To learn more and read the full statement from President & CEO, Blythe Tyler, follow the link below.
