Join us and Pontiac Parks and Recreation on Tuesday, June 30th for the Rec Plex Community Meeting!

The City of Pontiac, IL - Municipal Government and Pontiac Parks and Recreation are leading a planning initiative to complete a master plan for the Recreation Complex (RecPlex) that includes renovating existing amenities and adding new features and apply for funding assistance through an OSLAD grant from the IDNR.

All members of the public are invited to attend and provide input on what they would like to see in the park. This will be a workshop style meeting, meaning it will begin promptly at 6:00 PM and run for approximately one hour. Door will open at 5:30 PM. We look forward to hearing from you!

🚧 Road Closure Alerts 🚧

- Beginning today (6/15) Locust Street between Reynolds Street and 2nd Street is closed for construction. Crews with Opperman Construction will be removing and replacing curbs and gutters, installing an aggregate base course, and repairing any driveways impacted during the project. The roadway is expected to reopen by 6/29, weather and construction permitting.

Once this section is complete, crews will move to Locust Street between Torrance Street and Lowell Street.

- Starting tomorrow morning (6/16) a sanitary sewer system will be replaced at 103 N Oak Street. This work will require excavation across Washington Street, resulting in a closure to through traffic on Washington Street between Court Street and Oak Street. Access to local businesses will remain available throughout the project.
