As your student prepares to transition to high school, we want to remind you of the St. Johns County School District Residency & Guardianship Policy. To enroll in and attend a St. Johns County school, a student’s current permanent residence must be located within St. Johns County. This address determines the student’s assigned school zone, unless enrolled through an approved choice option. Families with shared custody may use either parent/guardian residence, with appropriate documentation.

Important: All rising 6th & rising 9th grade students are required to submit updated residency documentation prior to the start of high school.

The most efficient and preferred way to complete this requirement is through the Returning Student Verification process. This process is only available online.

If you need to stop by school this summer, don’t forget they’re closed on Fridays!

SJCSD Summer Hours 🏖️ St. Johns County School District schools and district offices will be open to the public Monday through Thursday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. All locations will be closed on Fridays through July 31. Normal operating hours resume on Monday, August 3. This summer schedule helps support the district's energy cost-saving efforts.☀️

🩵 Thank you for another amazing year at Ocean Palms Elementary!

🦦 Together, we have accomplished some amazing things this school year. We have enriched the school experience of both our students and staff in ways that would not have been possible without the support of our school community.

💪 Whether you purchased an Otter Booster membership, shared your time as a volunteer, attended a school event or participated in a fundraiser, you have helped to make Ocean Palms the best school around.

☀️ We’re already working to be ready for next year - we’ll be ready to hit the ground running in August! In the meantime, we wish you a break filled with the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure. Happy summer, Otters!!
