Beware of this scammer !! 2024 and still doing scams! She'll either take your "deposit" for work she never intended to complete, or she'll actually complete the work but never pay the concrete company- leaving you responsible to pay the concrete company for money she ran off with!!

Calling all victims of Angie’s fraud! IT’S TIME FOR ACTION!

I’m in the process of setting up a meeting with the district attorney to pursue CRIMINAL charges against this unscrupulous woman.

Several of you have contacted me in the past few months to informally discuss her actions, and I hope you are all interested in pursuing. Furthermore, we know she continues to advertise and make contracts, so we know there must be other victims out there. We need to locate them!

Whether or not we have already spoken, please contact me to indicate whether you would like to be included in the process of pursuing criminal charges. At this point, I don’t know what participation will entail - it could be that you would be called as a witness, you may be asked to provide evidence, etc., but it’s too early to speculate. Therefore, by indicating your interest you are not obligating yourself for anything, but this will give the DA some idea of the magnitude of her fraud.

Please also spread the word about this website so we can locate more victims. She has to be stopped!

Post # 7: getting paid isn't easy!

Ahhh, here we go again. I waited for the required 30 days after the judgment and then sent her a demand letter with payment deadlines. I offered her her easy way out - without bringing in law enforcement - if she brought the cash to my home by October 1st. After that, the letter says, she will have to meet me at the Pomona Police Department at 7pm on October 4th and give me the cash in the presence of officers. If she fails to show, I will request a police es**rt to her house to get my money. While we are waiting for her to come out of the house, I’ll be talking to her neighbors and passing out flyers advertising this web page. Click on the images below to read the letter!

I need to warn the public about a scammer who regularly advertises concrete work on Facebook. This pinned post is a summary. You can read the details and see proof in the posts below. They are each numbered at the top, so go in order!.

WHO: Angie Gutierrez aka Angie Ramirez aka Angela Gutierrez and her husband Luis Gutierrez

THE SCAM: She contracts for her husband to do concrete work at your home. You pay a deposit. You never see her again.

OR: She contracts for her husband to do concrete work at your home. You pay a deposit. He begins the work, then disappears. You never see them again.

HOW IT ENDS: I sued her for fraud and conversion (theft), and brought a ton of evidence. She didn’t bother to show up to court. I got a judgment against her, but the court doesn’t collect it for you when you win. I sent a demand letter with a deadline. I’ll update when we get to the deadline.

When I took her to court, I presented a “calendar of excuses,” on which I paraphrased our texts into a calendar format. This way, if the judge didn’t want to read through pages and pages of texts, he didn’t have to. The judge thought this was funny. Click on the link to see the calendar. Post # 5: tracking her down!

You know what makes it harder to track someone down? When she has a fairly common name, and then also uses her maiden name and many others. Here are lots of pages for Angie Gutierrez (aka Ramirez) and her family, including her mother (whose name is also Angie Ramirez), brother, husband and kids. I had to use all of these pages to make sure I had the right person and the right address, cross referencing people mentioned on the different FB accounts. It helped with background and criminal checks too (I wish I had done this before signing a contract!). Figuring out who is who, and which name is correct, is like trying to untangle a really ugly ball of yarn.
