In 2026, America will celebrate its 250th Anniversary! As we begin recognizing this exciting milestone, we are sharing fun facts and opportunities for our students and families to learn more about our nation’s history and future.

The South Carolina Department of Education has also provided activities and resources families can use over the summer to celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary together at home.

One school. One family. A whole lot of colors, personalities, talents, challenges, victories, laughs, and love. 💙💛

Today our faculty showed off their favorite school shirts, but what really shines is the uniqueness each person brings to PGE every single day. No two stories are the same, and that’s what makes our team so special. Through every challenge, every success, every long day, and every celebration… we continue showing up for kids and for each other.

Different styles. Different strengths. Same heart for students.

One of our favorite end-of-the-year traditions happened yesterday — the Class of 2026 Senior Walk! 🎓💙

It was so special to reconnect with our former 2019 5th graders, hear about their future plans, and celebrate the amazing young adults they have become. Without a doubt, they have made us proud! 🐯

A heartfelt thank you to Fredrick for carrying a picture of Michael as a reminder that he is always with us and for honoring the precious memories we shared at PGE. ❤️

A special shout-out to Drew Layton, who traveled 3 hours to join us for his senior walk. We appreciate you, Drew, and loved getting to see you again!

Congratulations and good luck to all members of the graduating Class of 2026! Your future is bright, and we can’t wait to see all you accomplish. ✨

Check this out. WIDA ACCESS testing is an annual assessment given to students who are learning English. It is developed by WIDA and used in states like South Carolina to measure progress in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in English.

We are excited to share that this year’s results are back, and all of our students showed growth on the assessment. Even more exciting, 7 students tested out of English language services this year, which is the highest number we have had reach this milestone in many years. We celebrated these "cool" kids in the "coolest" of ways.....ice cream sundaes!!!

Over the next few days, please be ready and watching for the bus a little earlier than usual. When students leave school early following awards ceremonies, the buses have fewer students and fewer stops, which may cause routes to run ahead of schedule.

Thank you for your help and flexibility as we celebrate our students during these special events!
