Crews return to US 93 south of Ravalli

Motorists should expect extended delays.

Ravalli, Mont. — The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT), along with construction partner Riverside Contracting, Inc., will return to US Highway 93 (US 93) south of Ravalli from July 30 to August 1 to apply a seal and cover (chip seal), weather and other unforeseen factors permitting. Crews will be working Thursday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The project extends from north of White Coyote Road, at mile marker 20, to Holt Street, mile marker 26.7.

Applying a chip seal after microsurfacing improves skid resistance and extends the service life of the roadway. Crews will return in 30-45 days to apply the final epoxy pavement markings.

When traveling through the project corridor, motorists should expect single-lane traffic, traffic signals, pilot cars and one-hour delays. For the most up-to-date information regarding road conditions, visit MDT 511 Travel Info.

The public is encouraged to contact MDT at 406-523-5800 or [email protected] with any questions or comments.

MDT is a workforce of over 2,000 people across Montana determined to do all we can so that you arrive at your destination safely. Our mission is to build, operate, and maintain a safe and resilient transportation system. For more information, visit mdt.mt.gov.
