🔥 Honoring Fire Chief Clint Cottle's Retirement and Welcoming Incoming Chief Kevin Straub 🚒

After 15 years of service with the Polson Police Department and 10 years leading the Polson Fire Department, Fire Chief Clint Cottle leaves behind a remarkable legacy of dedication professionalism, and leadership.

Under Chief Cottle's guidance, the department expanded its services beyond fire and rescue to include a Quick Response Unit, partnering with the local ambulance company to provide 24/7 emergency medical care. Demonstrating his personal commitment to this mission, Chief Cottle invested more than a year of his own time to earn his national Paramedic certification

The City of Polson Administration recognizes and celebrates Chief Cottle's outstanding record of public service and his enduring impact on our community. His leadership has strengthened the department and enhanced emergency services for all who live, work, and visit Polson

To continue the culture of leadership and excellence within the Polson Fire Department. Assistant Fire Chief Kevin Straub will soon be appointed as the next Fire Chief of the City of Polson. Chief Straub brings decades of professional experience in Fire, Rescue, and EMS, and we look forward to working with him to build upon the strong foundation established under Chief Cottle's leadership

EMT CLASS
POLSON, MT

Sign-up and Instructor Meet and Greet will be 11/20/2025 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, please attend if you are interested in the class.

First day of EMT Class will be 12/02/2025 at 6:00pm. The last day of class will be 03/14/2026.

Classes are every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00pm to 10:00pm. There will be 4 required Saturday classes for testing and practical skills. Class time on these days will be up to the class.

This year’s class will be $650.00, not including book and National Registry Testing Fees.

All instructors are registered with the National Registry and hold an EMT license, or higher licensure, in the state of Montana.
