The Polo Police Department is joining law enforcement agencies across Illinois for the 2026 “Click It or Ticket” campaign running May 15–26 during the busy Memorial Day travel period.

Officers will be conducting increased seat belt enforcement day and night to help keep our roads safe. Seat belts save lives, and every driver and passenger is reminded to buckle up every trip, every time.

✅ Buckle up
✅ Drive sober
✅ Put safety first

The City of Polo is declaring a snow emergency for Saturday, November 29th. By ordinance because this is an odd number calendar day, please park your vehicles on the odd numbered side of the street by 8:00 am.

Thank you Polo!!!!

Every year our community shines and rises to the calling of support. This year was no different. We were able to fill the back of the patrol truck with various donations and also received around $300 in cash donations to help the Polo Lifeline Food Pantry.

🎃👻 Trick-or-Treat in Polo 👻🎃

The City of Polo invites all ghouls, goblins, and ghosts to join us for Trick-or-Treating on Friday, October 31st from 4:00 – 7:00 PM.

✨ Safety is our top priority! ✨

Parents, please accompany young children.

Wear bright or reflective costumes so drivers can see you.

Use sidewalks and crosswalks — never cut across yards or alleys.

Check candy before eating.

Drive carefully and watch for little ones crossing the streets.

Let’s make this Halloween a fun and safe celebration for the whole community. 🧡
