With our mowers down and our maintenance employee out sick this week, preparations still had to be made for the PYSO tournaments starting tomorrow.

This evening, Mayor Jess Innis and East Alderman 1, Thomas Krouse, stepped up and spent their evening mowing the ballfields to help get everything ready for the players, families, and visitors.

We appreciate their dedication and willingness to step in when needed. Thank you both for your hard work and commitment to the City of Polo.

Also, a special thank you to all the coaches, families, and friends who dedicate their time and effort throughout the season to help maintain and work the fields and make youth sports possible. Your hard work behind the scenes does not go unnoticed and is greatly appreciated.

Good luck to all the teams competing in the tournaments this weekend, and we hope everyone has a great time!

• Kitchen Repair Project at City Hall
• Temporary Water & Wastewater Operator Services
• Emergency Backup Water & Wastewater Operator

Community Announcement

The Caldwell County Health Department has supplied the City of Polo with Narcan kits for emergency use. These kits are kept at City Hall, 1010 Main St., Polo, Missouri 64671, as an additional community resource during normal business hours. Availability may vary based on supply.

If you are experiencing or witnessing a medical emergency or suspected overdose, call 911 immediately.

Narcan is an opioid overdose reversal medication that can be administered by bystanders if needed while waiting for emergency responders. City Hall staff are not providing medical care.

If you have questions, you may contact City Hall at 660-354-2345 or after hours at 660-373-5985.

We encourage everyone to help spread the word about this additional resource. You never know, you could help save a life.
