Parts of Mississippi are under an Enhanced Risk (Level 3 of 5) for severe storms today (4/28/26). Here’s what to watch for:
🌬️ Damaging winds up to 70 mph
🧊 Hail up to golf ball size
🌪️ Tornadoes possible (a strong tornado can’t be ruled out)

Be prepared:
✔️ Stay weather-aware throughout the day
✔️ Have multiple ways to receive warnings
✔️ Know your safe place in case warnings are issued

Update: All lanes are clear and traffic is moving again.

Highway 35 North near SCR 120 is completely blocked due to an overturned 18-wheeler. Please use an alternate route. A wrecker is on scene working to clear the roadway, and updates will be provided once it reopens.
