For those looking for water you can use the spigot on the right side of the Town Hall. This is the large building at the Town Municipal Complex. This water is potable, meaning it is drinkable right from spigot. This sign marks the spot.

TRAFFIC ALERT: The following 48-hour road closures will be taking place to allow for the replacement of two railroad crossings in Auburn. Motorists (including residents) MUST seek alternate routes during these closures.

we dropped taxes from a mil rate of $15.00 to $14.66. We could not have accomplished that had education not been fully funded at 55% and revenue sharing restored to its full amount. Thank you Janet T. Mills, your policies have helped property owners in Poland greatly.

POLAND — The Select Board voted Tuesday night to set the property tax rate at $14.66 per $1,000 of assessed value, 44 cents less than last year’s $15.50.

Please consider applying for heating assistance for next winter now, It sounds like it will be more expensive than usual next winter. There is a lead time to being approved, so better to apply now than when the oil is dwindling.
