Mason County Community Educational Outreach Service

Mason County Community Educational Outreach Service Our Mission and Purpose is to strengthen families, promote life long learning, leadership development and community involvement.

The West Virginia Community Educational Outreach Service (WVCEOS) has a strong tradition of education, service, and community development, dating back to 1914 when the first club (Farm Women’s Club in Ohio County) was established. The West Virginia University Extension Service provides support to the organization through county and state faculty. Extension faculty members serve as advisors to loca

l groups and the state board and develop WVCEOS program topics on timely issues. Program areas of emphasis include: preserving the environment, building family strengths, and increasing awareness of our global interdependence.

There are gaps when no one will be working so if you have time and want to help represent CEOS let me know.

Would You Visit a Victorian Tea Room in Our Community?

Who would you bring for tea? Tag them in the comments!

How often would you realistically visit a local tea room? Post your answer in the comments! This helps us gage feasibility.

Imagine stepping into a charming manor, surrounded by the elegance of another era while enjoying a pot of fine tea, warm scones, delicate tea sandwiches, and beautiful desserts.

We’re exploring the possibility of opening Main Oak Manor Tea Room, a place for relaxing afternoon teas and special gatherings such as:

🌸 Birthdays
💍 Anniversaries
👯 Girls’ afternoons
❤️ Romantic dates
🫖 A weekly tradition to unwind

Before moving forward, we want to know if the community would enjoy something like this.

If this sounds appealing, please take 2 minutes to complete our quick anonymous survey.

Your feedback will help determine whether this vision becomes a reality!

Thank you to everyone who came to the Constitution Training today. We had great discussions. Also- I needed the pre and post tests that you took if you have them. I thought they were left on the tables. TIA!

FYI- Our office is on a 2-hour delay and will open at 10:00 a.m. I don't recommend anyone coming in today, but if you do, you will need to use the back door. Our front door will be roped off due to an ice hazard. We don't want anyone to get hurt.

For your safety, the Constitution and Bylaws training this Thursday has been rescheduled for Wednesday, February 18th, at 1:00 p.m. at the extension office. Hopefully, the weather will be better by then. Stay safe!

Surgery went great! They should know in 10 days if lymph nodes are clear or cancerous. If cancerous, she will have some sort of treatment. If clear no treatments.
