It is with great excitement and gratitude that I introduce myself as the new principal of Lake Marion Creek Middle School.

For the past five years, I have had the privilege of serving as Assistant Principal here at Lake Marion Creek, and during that time, I have grown to deeply appreciate the incredible students, dedicated staff, and supportive families that make this school so special. I am truly excited to remain part of this school family and honored to step into this new role as principal.

With 30 years of experience in education, I have been fortunate to serve in many roles, each centered around one passion: helping students succeed and supporting the educators who make that success possible.

Throughout my career, I have learned that strong schools are built on positive relationships, high expectations, and a shared commitment to excellence. I believe every student can achieve great things when provided with the support, encouragement, and opportunities they deserve.

As I begin this new chapter alongside you, I look forward to continuing the strong traditions of Lake Marion Creek while working together to build an environment where everyone feels valued, respected, and inspired to learn and grow.

Thank you for welcoming me into your school family in this new capacity. It is a privilege to serve as your principal, and I am excited about the journey ahead. Together, we will continue to build a school culture that promotes academic achievement, personal growth, and success for all.

For the past five years, Mrs. Broughton, has faithfully served our school community as our Reading Coach, making a lasting impact on both students and staff. We are excited to see her step into this new leadership role and continue making a difference in even greater ways.

With 25 years of experience in education and a deep love for helping children grow and succeed, she brings a passion for building strong relationships and supporting school communities. Her dedication, knowledge, and caring heart make her a wonderful addition to our administrative team.

Outside of school, she cherishes time with her family and enjoys exploring new places on vacation — experiences that keep her grounded, inspired, and ready to serve others.

Yesterday, we celebrated a very special milestone as we said goodbye to Ms. Aponte on her last day as principal of Lake Marion Creek Middle School. 🐾

After five years of dedicated leadership, support, and service to our school family, Ms. Aponte is beginning a well-earned retirement. While we will certainly miss her presence on campus, we are so grateful for the impact she has made on our students, staff, and community.

Please join us in wishing Ms. Aponte a retirement filled with joy, relaxation, new adventures, and many wonderful memories. Thank you for your years of service and commitment to Lake Marion Creek.
