Today we had a visit from the principal of the new high school being built in Poinciana. She spoke to the students and they voted on the mascot! Hawks, Bulls, or they had the chance to write in a choice. The students were excited to give their votes!

Tonight is our first home game for girls' basketball!
The VARSITY Team plays at 6:30.
Adults: $4; students: $2 - CASH ONLY at the door.
STUDENTS must have a parent/guardian present to attend the game.

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We have had an amazing start to the school year, and we appreciate your continued support as we work together to help our students succeed.

This week marks the beginning of our very important Progress Monitoring Assessments. These assessments provide valuable data to guide and strengthen instruction throughout the year. As a result of testing, students will remain in their 1st period classes until lunchtime and will follow a modified schedule during testing days.

Testing Schedule:

Students whose homeroom is located in Building 5 will test on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Students whose homeroom is located in any other building will test on Thursday and Monday, September 14.
Please help your child prepare by ensuring they:

Arrive at school on time each testing day.
Bring their school-issued computer fully charged.
We also want to celebrate the success of our first PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) activity held last week. This grade-level-specific event gave many students the opportunity to participate because they complied with our school-wide expectations. We are proud of the positive choices our students are making each day.

Friday, September 11, will be our Crocs and Slides Day for $2.00. Students must wear their regular school uniform but will have the opportunity to show off their favorite Crocs or slides for the day. We look forward to seeing everyone's favorite footwear while maintaining our school dress code expectations. The money will support student incentives and athletics.

More PBIS fun from Friday!!!

Today, Deputy Cruz, our School Resource Officer, treated one very deserving 6th grade lunch table to PIZZA! 🍕

This table stood out for their spectacular behavior, and Deputy Cruz wanted to recognize them for setting such a great example during lunch. Needless to say, these Panthers were VERY excited about their special pizza celebration! 😋

We love finding fun ways to recognize students who are making great choices and showing Panther Pride throughout the school day.

Congratulations to our winning table! 🖤💛 And we have a feeling the rest of our 6th graders will be working extra hard to show their best behavior and earn the honor of being Deputy Cruz’s next pizza table! 🍕🏆

Today was all about celebrating our students who earned their way to our PBIS Party!

PBIS stands for Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports, and it’s all about recognizing students for making positive choices, showing good behavior, and doing their part to make our school a great place to learn.

Our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students enjoyed celebrations throughout the afternoon with movies, dancing, Kahoot games, basketball, popcorn, and lots of fun! 🎬🏀🍿🎶

A big CONGRATULATIONS to all of the students who earned the opportunity to participate today! We are proud of you and hope you had a fantastic afternoon.

And to everyone else — there will be another chance! We are hoping to see even more students earn their way into our next PBIS celebration. Keep making great choices, Panthers! 🐾
