Our candidate for the Assembly in Harrisburg, Thomas Kucer, talks about his background. " I am a member in good standing of Sheet Metal Workers' Local 44 in Wilkes Barre area. I have a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management and know that I can contribute greatly in Harrisburg on roads, infrastructure and housing issues. I reside in Hamilton Township and have lived in this area for over 23 years.
" The West End and Top of the Mountain are hard working communities, they get up at the crack of dawn to commute, I've done it since 1996, busing into NYC, so I know the feeling. I don't come from money, I've always had to work for a living and I do know the pain it is to fill my gas tank and buy groceries. I know what it's like going check to check and hoping nothing disrupts that income. As a Sheet Metal Worker, I've had my share of hard times of unemployment and just scraping by.
" I am a firm believer in workers' rights for all as what's good for the unions eventually help other workers. I stand behind women's rights in the workplace, equal pay for the same job.
" I am deeply concerned about the direction this country is headed between the hate and divisiveness. I want to be the voice of reason. I need 300 write in votes this primary, help me win a place on the November ballot."
