Station 44 has had three calls for service today. The morning started off with two commercial fire alarms, dispatched with Pocono Summit Volunteer Fire Company and Tobyhanna Township Volunteer Fire Company.

Members took some time earlier this afternoon to give the trucks some TLC. While the trucks were drying, we were dispatched to another automatic fire alarm, this time inside the Arrowhead Lake Community. Stations 44 and 41 cleared shortly after arrival and returned to quarters without incident.

If you see our bay doors open, feel free to stop by and say hi 👋🏻

Extreme heat is the deadliest weather hazard in the U.S. ⚠️☀️

Take it seriously:
🧠 Know the signs of heat illness.
🏃‍♀️ Be ready to act if you or someone else is getting sick.
🦵 Feeling crampy in the heat? Take action to cool down right away. It's often the first sign of heat illness.
☝️ Prevention is key: Drink plenty of water, take breaks, and protect the most vulnerable — pets, kids, and older adults.
