Labor Day Holiday Safety & Extreme Weather Awareness
As we head into the Labor Day holiday, please take a few moments to prioritize your safety and well-being. If you plan spending time outdoors, stay hydrated, wear sunscreen, and take frequent breaks in shaded or air-conditioned areas to prevent heat-related illness.
Be prepared for changing weather conditions, including thunderstorms, high winds, and flash flooding. Monitor local weather forecasts, avoid flooded roadways, and seek shelter immediately if severe weather develops. Check the air quality of your destinations and wear a mask as necessary to protect your lungs.
If you are traveling, plan ahead, drive carefully, and allow extra time to reach your destination. Keep an emergency kit, water, and a charged phone available.
We hope you enjoy a safe and relaxing holiday weekend with family and friends. Please take precautions and stay weather aware!
