We are pleased to announce that the Town of Plympton is the recipient of a $98,286 grant from the Commonwealth's Department of Energy Resources for an attic insulation project at the Town House.

The grant was secured by Town Administrator Liz Dennehy, with the capable assistance of Paul Umano from Old Colony Planning Council.

We are grateful to our State partners for delivering much needed grant funding to complete this worthwhile project.

The Town House is resuming normal operations beginning at 9 a.m. tomorrow, Wednesday, February 25.

The Plympton Public Library will be closed tomorrow and is expected to reopen on Thursday, February 26.

The Old Town House/Historical Society building will be closed for use or scheduled activities until further notice - likely until this weekend when crews have an opportunity to get it safely cleared out. We will update once it’s all set.

Thanks to the Plympton Highway Department for working tirelessly on storm cleanup and doing a great job.

All non-emergency town buildings are closed tomorrow, Tuesday, February 24. All meetings scheduled for tomorrow or tomorrow evening are canceled, unless they were posted as being exclusively remote on Zoom.

🚫🚙 Travel Ban Issued for Southeastern Massachusetts

The Governor has issued a ban on non-essential travel across Southeastern Massachusetts.

Plympton Highway Department is working tirelessly in these difficult conditions to clear roadways and maintain access for emergency response vehicles.

Residents are urged to comply with the travel ban and stay off the roads to not add to an already challenging situation for our public safety professionals.

Please stay home and reserve 911 for true emergencies.
