Although there are many things that we celebrate in the month of May, we are focused on “Mental Health Awareness” for this post. It is important to be aware of our own mental health as well as our friend’s and family’s mental health.

If you notice a change, need to talk or need help, call someone…call anyone…call us if you need to. Mental Health can be uncontrollable by yourself but, can also be managed and helped.

If you need help, dial 911 or

UHS CPEP 800-451-0560 or

Suicide/Lifeline Hotline 988

Stay safe, stay alert, stay alive.

On behalf of the entire Plymouth Fire Department, we would like to thank everyone that attending the Open House today. The weather ended up not in a favor however; we did have two great community members that will be returning their applications in the days ahead. If you missed today’s Open House but, want to explore your option for joining us, reach out to us via messenger and we will set up a time for a visit.

Halligan will be heading back to the Jersey Shore by weeks end. If you see him over the next few days around the area and would like to meet him, wave us down and we will stop. Although he is getting used to the area, he told me he misses the ocean and the boys at Station-25 but, wishes everyone well and hope to see you again some day.

Good times in Plymouth with a great successful positive weekend for our community.

Stay, alert, stay safe, stay alive.

Delayed Posting!

April is Autism Acceptance Month. The Plymouth Fire Department members want you to know that you are always welcome in our house.

If you are a caregiver/parent to someone with Autism and would like to set a time to meet a firefighter so the person with autism can see a fire engine or what we wear and how we may look in times of an emergency call, send us a DM and we will work a schedule out.

You are always welcome to stop by any Wednesday evening before drill time (7pm) and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Stay alert, stay safe, stay alive.

Remember, smoke detectors save lives. We have a limited number of brand-new smoke detectors on hand (17) that were donated to us. If you need a smoke detector, ask when you arrive tomorrow. While supplies last.

Stay alert, stay safe, stay alive!

Update: Halligan has made his way north from the Jersey Shore to Chenango Co. if you see Halligan out and about, no matter where you are, snap a picture with him or tell us where you saw him. It’s a fun thing for the kids to do to be on the “look-out” for Halligan.

Reminder: you can see Halligan on April 19th at Station 27 (Plymouth Fire House) on State 23 from Noon to 4pm.
