Congratulations to Captain Hilaire “Vlad” Pierre of the Health Services Unit who was honored as a 2026 eternalHealth Healthcare Hall of Famer!
During a pre-game ceremony at Fenway Park, Vlad was joined by his son, Vlad Jr., and Superintendent Moniz, Deputy Superintendent Mattivello and Red Sox legend David Ortiz. “Big Papi” presented Captain Pierre with his award along with eternalHealth Healthcare founder and CEO Pooja Ika.

Captain Pierre was recognized for “strengthening clinical operations and elevating standards of care, and for a steady, empathetic leadership style rooted in the same compassion he brings home as a husband and father.”

Congratulations, Captain Pierre! Sheriff McDonald and all your colleagues here at the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office are proud of your outstanding service and achievement. Well deserved!

Sheriff McDonald hosted the Massachusetts Sheriffs' Association (MSA) meeting in Plymouth for an informative and productive discussion on correctional, budgetary, and legislative issues.

Thank you to MSA President Carrie Hill and staff from the Commonwealth’s 14 Sheriff’s Offices for attending. Special thanks to our PCSO staff and PCCF kitchen team for helping with setup and refreshments.

First responders face unique and often cumulative exposure to trauma and critical incident stress. Taking care of those who take care of others is essential.

In recognition of Su***de Prevention Awareness Month, the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Department invites local first responders to a free First Responder Wellness class featuring ACT & PACE training on Tuesday, September 15.

The class will be presented by Sean Smith, LICSW, MS-DRL, of the Riverside Trauma Center.
