This is a public meeting, and any interested person is invited to attend and provide comment to the City Commission related to increasing the current restriction on the number of liquor licenses or to eliminate the cap on liquor licenses in the City. Interested persons may also provide comment to the City Commission in advance of the public meeting by sending an email to [email protected]

Many of us lost a good friend Tuesday in Fred Hill and one of the true characters that made Plymouth the charming, friendly community we love. He started in Plymouth, owning a men’s clothing store downtown, and then became a longtime trusted realtor. While he is known for his support of community organizations, like the Chamber of Commerce and the Kiwanis Club, he is probably most known as the leader of the Briefcase Drill Team. They started in our 4th of July Parade and then made their way a few years later to perform every year in the Detroit Thanksgiving Day Parade. Fred’s Drill Team eventually appeared in New York’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Thank you, Fred Hill, for all your contributions over fifty years to the Plymouth Community. RIP, old friend.

Despite the chance of rain tonight, the Bank of Ann Arbor "Music in the Air" concert with Magic Bus concert remains scheduled to take the Hines Park Lincoln stage at 7 p.m. Hear all the groovy music with the premium sound experience sponsored by Henry Ford Health System. Tonight's concert is also brought to you by Adient, Kilwins, and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan.
