Plymouth-Canton Community Schools operates 15 elementary schools, five middle schools, three high schools and an alternative high school program. District maps show the geographic attendance areas for each elementary and middle school. To additionally support our community, the district provides extensive preschool programming as well as before-school and after-school child care and summer care pr

ograms for elementary and middle school students. Over 3,000 full-time and part-time employees work to provide our students with the educational opportunities they need to become productive citizens in a global community. Parent involvement is a key factor in the success of our students and our schools. District policy 2112 summarizes the importance of two-way communication between home and school and describes the responsibilities of the school and the parents in this process. The district plan titled โ€œParent Involvement in the School Programโ€ will be printed each year in the August edition of Newsline. All P-CCS elementary teachers meet the federal requirements for highly qualified teachers. Parents have a right to know the qualifications of the teachers of their children and may contact their school to get this information.

Amy does far more than prepare nutritious meals. She creates a welcoming environment, builds meaningful connections with students and staff, and offers support, encouragement, and kindness every day โ€” always with a smile.

๐ŸŽ“๐ŸŒŸ Congratulations to P-CEP seniors Misha Srinivasan and Angelina Gampala on being named 2026 National Merit Scholarship recipients!

Misha and Angelina are among just 31 students in Michigan selected during the latest round of National Merit Scholarship announcements and join five other P-CEP seniors who have earned this prestigious honor this year. Together, they represent the highest number of National Merit Scholarship recipients from a single graduating class in recent memory for P-CCS.

Both students plan to pursue careers in medicine and were recognized for their outstanding academic achievement, leadership, extracurricular involvement, and commitment to excellence.

We are incredibly proud of Misha, Angelina, and all seven members of the P-CEP Class of 2026 who have earned National Merit Scholarships. Their success reflects the hard work of our students, the support of their families, and the exceptional opportunities available throughout P-CCS.

๐ŸŽถ What an incredible accomplishment!

East Middle School seventh-grader Jaylan Li recently composed an original piece of music that was performed by the bandโ€”a remarkable achievement and a testament to his creativity and talent. Equally impressive, East band director David Smit wrote a piece for the sixth-grade band that students brought to life through performance.

Congratulations to Jaylan, David, and the entire East band program on this outstanding achievement! ๐Ÿ‘๐ŸŽต

The recorded concert is more than just a performance; it showcases the innovation, dedication, and musical excellence happening every day in our schools.

Congratulations to P-CCS teacher Craig Linderman on this incredible achievement! ๐ŸŽจ๐Ÿ‘

This weekend, Craig will represent the P-CCS community at Art 64 in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, a national live-painting tournament often described as โ€œMarch Madness for artists.โ€ Artists from across the country are selected to compete, and Craig is among this year's talented participants.

The competition features live painting and public voting, which helps determine who advances through the tournament bracket. Best of luck, Craig! We're proud to see a member of the P-CCS community sharing their talent on a national stage.
