Feeding Those Who Are Hungry

Just who supports the monastery'sministry? Most donors are five- and six-dollar donors from the same folks we serve. More of the folks we serve support this ministry with prayers and donations than any other group. In other words, the homeless and near-homeless, the marginalized, the low-income, and those unseen, unheard, and unwanted are the foundation of support.

They have nothing or next to nothing. We challenge all of you to stand and support these folks. Can you match what they donate? Five or six dollars, or better, $20, this afternoon. Let them know there are folks who care what happens to them and who join in their struggle. They have little or nothing but their prayers and a few dollars. What do you know that you have and what you can do to support all of them?

Please donate clean or new blankets and coats to help the homeless and the near-homeless, the disenfranchised and poor, those unseen and unheard. Let them know you see them, hear them, and care for them.

And don’t forget the kids!

Drop off your donations of coats and blankets, new or slightly used (washed), at the monastery any afternoon. Or call 574-316-9970 to arrange for the Monk Mobile and a friendly monk to pick them up.

Help! You can make a difference and bring hope where there is none.

The Monastery of the Holy Martyrs and Orthodox Workers needs your help. We have expenses to pay and nothing to do with that. Well, actually, we do have 54 cents in the bank.

The Monastery of the Holy Martyrs and Orthodox Workers needs your help so that we can continue to serve all whom Christ brings to our doors. We were forced to cut back on some programs and services, so more people hear, "Sorry, we can not serve today!" And I never like to say that. We need your financial support so this does not happen. And those services cut back can be restored.

Where: River Park Square, 112 Water St., Plymouth, IN 46563
*This distribution is sponsored by Saint Joseph Health System and will serve 200 households.

Assorted food items offered free of charge. All items are pre-boxed and pre-bagged. First come, first served, while supplies last for those in need of food assistance. One box/bag per household.

Distributions are drive through. Please remain in your vehicle and open your trunk to receive items. An area will be available for self-loading if your trunk does not open.
