Fall Sports Schedules and Information!

June is flying by and our athletes and coaches are hard at work preparing for the fall season and next year! Attached to this post you can find game and event schedules for the fall sports season. Below are some additional important dates for the fall sports season to note...

Monday 7/27 - Fall Sports Mandatory Parent/Team Meetings 6pm
Saturday 8/1 - Mandatory practices can begin for all fall sports except golf (begins Wednesday 7/29).
Thursday 8/6 - Fall Sports Picture Day

Further schedule updates will be posted closer to the season as things change. We hope everyone has a great summer and we look forward to seeing our athletes back on the fields and courts in the fall!

Welcome to the Big Red!

The athletic department is excited to announce several new head coach hires for the 2026-27 school year! Please help us in welcoming the following coaches...

Clint Wurm - Head Boys Basketball
Coach Wurm comes to us from New Riegel where he was the Junior Varsity coach last season. Prior to that Coach Wurm spent 3 seasons in the Seneca East program under Coach Anthony Langurst as a middle school coach and brings valuable experience from two different programs and successful head coaches to the Big Red. Coach is a Seneca East grad and was a three year varsity player for the Tigers. We are excited to welcome Coach Wurm to the Big Red and very excited about the future of the basketball program under his leadership. Welcome Coach Wurm!

Jake Echelbarger - Head Wrestling
Coach Echelbarger has been promoted to head wrestling coach after the retirement of Coach Balkin. Coach Echelbarger is Big Red through and through as a PHS graduate and 4 year varsity wrestler in Coach Balkin's program. Coach has also spent the last several season's coaching the junior high wrestling team while also running the biddy wrestling program. His valuable experience both as a wrestler and a coach here at PHS will help him continue to strong foundation that Coach Balkin leaves the wrestling program with and we are excited about the future of the program under Coach Echelbarger's leadership. Welcome Coach Echelbarger!

Kennedy Greenawalt and Madison Sipes - Co-Head Cheerleading Advisors
Coach Greenawalt and Coach Sipes will be working together as the cheerleading program moves into its next chapter. Both are proud PHS alums and were standout 4 year cheerleaders under longtime coach Jenn Green and both are excited to be back leading the cheer program. We are excited to welcome Coach Greenawalt and Sipes back to the Big Red and are excited about the future of the cheer program under their leadership. Welcome Coach Greenawalt and Coach Sipes!
