Our 1.2 million-member organization started with the vision of one man—Paul P. The Chicago attorney formed one of the world’s first service organizations, the Rotary Club of Chicago, on 23 February 1905 as a place where professionals with diverse backgrounds could exchange ideas and form meaningful, lifelong friendships. Rotary’s name came from the group’s early practice of rotating meetings among the offices of each member.

Please stop by Market Basket in Plymouth this Saturday (9/19) for the Plymouth Sunrise Rotary’s annual Food Drive to support the South Shore Community Action Council’s Food Resources Program! We will be there from 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM collecting non- perishable food items to restock their shelves! The SSCAC provides resources to our local food pantries, soup kitchens, elementary schools, head start programs and more! Team up with us against hunger!

Did you know that Plymouth Sunrise Rotary members deliver food to Hedge School each week so that kids have food to take home? The group coordinates with SSCAC, picks up the food and delivers to students at school year round. Helping our community every way we can.🩷

Plymouth Sunrise Rotarians networking at the Plymouth Chamber of Commerce’s boat cruise on the Pilgrim Belle! (The Sunrise Rotary has a membership with our local Chamber which not only supports local businesses but helps promote our events as well!)

Plymouth Sunrise Rotarians took to the golf course yesterday to play 18 holes in support of the Old Colony YMCA Plymouth! Pulling together for our community and having some fun at the same time!

Members of the Plymouth Sunrise Rotary (Scott Hokanson, State Rep Michelle Badger and our own President, Sheila Marino) attended the peace pole dedication at Plymouth Town Hall this past weekend! Representatives from our sister city of Shichigahma, Japan were also in attendance. Congrats to the noon club!

Thursday mornings hit differently when you start them off with Plymouth Sunrise Rotary meetings! For many of us, discussing ways to help people in our community gives us the “fuel” we need to get through the week! Such a great crew. We can’t think of a better way to start International Friendship Day!

The sun setting on Plymouth Harbor made for a gorgeous backdrop as we celebrated the Plymouth Sunrise Rotary’s installation of new officers for the 2026-2027 rotary year. Congrats to our new fearless leader Sheila Marino who was sworn in and will now take over as President. Thank you Taylor Stefano for a great year! (A huge thank you to Katie Kearney for organizing such an incredible night. Smiles and laughs were had by all!)
