Team Neha For Plymouth spent months doing their level best via diligent planning and a methodical ex*****on. More importantly we spent time hearing from voters and discussing what mattered to them.

It has been an honor to meet and chat with so many voters, in person and virtually. So proud to have such amazing neighbors in Plymouth. You inspired me and gave me energy to keep going every single day.

There are many people I would like to thank that served as pillars from the first day of this idea to run to the final day of going door to door: my Family, dearest Friends, the entire Campaign Team, Advisors, and Supporters. None of this would have been possible without each of your belief in me and tireless hours spent on such a splendid campaign. YOU know who each of YOU are.

To my opponent, Clark Gregor, congratulations. Wishing you the best on the road ahead as Plymouth needs you to do the absolute best for them.

A final THANK YOU to the voters of Plymouth who wholeheartedly supported me and my campaign team. I am in awe of your numerous lovely emails, kind phone calls, and warm reception at the door. It demonstrated your understanding of what my true nonpartisan campaign platform was all about and that united, we can do so much more good than we can divided.

Here is to a better world ahead and I'll see you around!

Eternally Grateful,

-Neha (Nay ha)

I'm Neha Markanda and I am running to be your next Plymouth City Council
At-Large council member. I moved to America when I was 7-years old with my family in pursuit of the American Dream and am now a successful businesswoman and engaged community organizer.

Check out this quick video which sums up my positions, and as you prepare to vote, ask yourself these questions:

[1] If you came to the Plymouth City Council with an issue, would it be right for the council to ask you which party you affiliate with before your issue could be addressed?

[2] In this local race, doesn’t the community overall want wise use of our tax dollars regardless of political affiliation?

[3] How about a safe neighborhood, the snow being plowed, potholes fixed, and parks well maintained? Should we not address these things fairly for everyone regardless of which party they belong to, if any?

My goal is to focus on actual issues that affect us ALL, not on divisive party politics. My hope is that you will all vote on Tuesday. Vote for what you believe is best for our city. When you vote for me, I will do my utmost best to represent YOU in a nonpartisan way and will truly listen to ALL voices.

I would appreciate your vote on Tuesday, November 8th!

LETTER TO PLYMOUTH VOTERS

NEHA MARKANDA ADDRESSES NONPARTISANSHIP

Plymouth businesswoman is the true for Plymouth City Council At-Large seat.

My name is Neha Markanda, and I am running to be your next Plymouth City Council At-Large council member. I moved to America when I was 7-years old with my family in pursuit of the American Dream and am now a successful businesswoman and engaged community organizer.

I want to address a question I’ve frequently been asked by many voters regarding my party affiliation. A few even continuing to wonder how it is I am not being partisan!

From the onset of my campaign which has been ongoing for numerous months, I have been passionate and steadfast about running a nonpartisan campaign based on integrity and honesty. The At-Large Plymouth City Council position is a nonpartisan office.

Nonpartisan as you know is defined as "not biased, not part of any political group.” While my opponent sought out party support, I declined any endorsement.

In fact, I have actively met with people from across the political spectrum to listen to their concerns. All because I believe in the true spirit of what this position was created for — serving the needs of ALL Plymouth citizens.

Looking at my background, where I come from, who I have helped both professionally as well as a community volunteer, I am a living representation of the best nonpartisan choice in this At-Large race.

As you prepare to vote, ask yourself these questions:

If you came to the Plymouth City Council with an issue, would it be right for the council to ask you which party you affiliate with before your issue could be addressed?

In this local race, doesn’t the community want wise use of your tax dollars regardless of your political affiliation?

How about a safe neighborhood? The snow being plowed, potholes fixed, and parks well maintained? Shouldn't all of these things be addressed fairly to everyone regardless of what party they belong to, if any?

My goal is to focus on actual issues that affect us ALL, not on divisive party politics. My hope is that you will all vote on Tuesday. Vote for what you believe is best for our city. When you vote for me, I will do my utmost best to represent YOU in a nonpartisan way and will truly listen to ALL voices.

Sincerely,

Neha Markanda
