The Town of Plymouth invites all residents to gather in Town Square on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. for “A Plymouth Community Ceremony for America’s 250th,” a special civic commemoration honoring the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.

Event Details:
📜 What: A Plymouth Community Ceremony for America’s 250th
📅 When: Saturday, June 27, 2026
🕐 Time: 1:00 p.m.
📍Where: Town Square, Plymouth

The ceremony will bring together residents, state and town officials, and representatives of community organizations to reflect on the meaning of the Declaration and Plymouth’s place in the nation’s founding story. The program will feature a public reading of the Declaration of Independence by a group representing Plymoutheans of both 1776 and 2026, along with patriotic songs, a flag raising, a color guard salute, and remarks by town officials.

As one of America’s most historic communities, Plymouth has a special role to play in the nation’s 250th anniversary. This ceremony will offer residents an opportunity to come together in the heart of town to honor the ideals of independence, civic participation, and shared responsibility that have shaped the American experience for two and a half centuries.

All Plymouth residents are warmly encouraged to attend and take part in this meaningful community observance.
