🚨 CITY SIREN NOTICE 🚨

We want to make residents aware of a potential brief activation of the City’s emergency siren system.

The siren activated unexpectedly the other day. Today, a technician is completing the necessary repairs. While the technician is working, there is a possibility the siren may activate briefly. Once the repairs are complete, the technician may also conduct a test of the system, which could result in another short siren activation.

There is no emergency associated with these potential activations.

We appreciate everyone’s patience while the system is repaired and returned to proper operation. We wanted to make residents aware ahead of time so there is no unnecessary concern if the siren is heard today.

Thank you!

Congratulations to Firefighter Makenna Krim on successfully completing her probation period!

A Firefighter ‘s probation period is about a lot more than simply showing up and putting in the time. There is a lengthy list of skills that every new firefighter needs to demonstrate proficiency in, along with learning our apparatus, equipment, tools, and where everything is located when we need it most.

Firefighter Krim put in the work, learned the job, and demonstrated that she is ready to take the next step as a member of our department.

As part of recognizing this accomplishment, she was presented her Firefighter helmet front by Fire Chief Klug, marking another important step in her journey with the Plymouth Fire Department.

We are proud of the work she has put in and excited to see what the future holds for her.

Congratulations, Makenna!

We understand that some of the sirens in the City of Plymouth have been activating. There is a malfunction causing this.. There is NO EMERGENCY.

Technicians are enroute to assist in figuring out what the cause is. We apologize for the confusion… and the noise.

Last night, the Plymouth Fire Department was proud to host the Sheboygan County "Countywide" Training Event, bringing together approximately 60 firefighters and instructors from departments across Sheboygan County.

The Sheboygan County Training Officer's Association coordinates this annual event and provides the instructors, creating a fantastic opportunity for firefighters from throughout the county to train together, learn from one another, and sharpen the skills they rely on when the call comes in.

Firefighters participated in hands-on training covering Vent, Enter, Search (VES), ground ladders, scene size-up, Haz-Mat, hose and flows, and more.

It was great to see such strong participation and to watch firefighters from different departments working side-by-side. Training like this strengthens not only individual firefighters, but the local fire service as a whole.

A big THANK YOU to the Sheboygan County Training Officer's Association for continuing to put on this outstanding annual training opportunity, and to all of the instructors and firefighters who gave their time last night.

Train together. Learn together. Serve together.

Today, we remember the 343 firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2001.

They knew they were walking into something they might not walk back out of. They turned and walked toward the danger.

343 firefighters never made it home.

Their sacrifice is a reminder of just how precious life is, and how quickly everything can change.

So today, call someone you love. Tell your family you love them. Hug your kids a little tighter. Check in on a friend. Say the things that matter, because none of us knows when our last moment will come.

From all of us at the Plymouth Fire Department, thank you to our incredible community for the support, kindness, and encouragement you show us every day. Every wave, thank-you, handshake, message, and word of encouragement means more to our members and their families than you may realize.

We are honored to serve this community, and we never take your support for granted.

Today, we remember the 343.
We honor their sacrifice.
We remember the families who never saw their loved ones come home.
And we carry their memory forward.

🚒 Rescues Come in All Shapes & Sizes! 🐱

Today’s rescue was a little different than most…

Our crew was called to help a kitten stuck in a storm drain here in Plymouth. While we’re used to rescuing people, sometimes the call for help has four paws, a tiny meow, and absolutely no idea how it got itself into trouble. 🐾

After a little teamwork, patience, and some creative thinking, our firefighters were able to get this little one safely out and back where it belonged.

Fires. Medical calls. Crashes. Storms. And apparently… kitten rescues. Big or small, we’re here to help.

Today we’re proud to recognize Captain Jamie Farr as he celebrates 17 years of service with the Plymouth Fire Department!

Captain Farr joined the department on August 24, 2009, bringing fire service experience with him. Jamie is passionate about what we do and equally passionate about learning and getting better. That commitment to learning has made him a strong Fire Officer and a respected leader within our organization. Jamie also has a genuine interest in leadership and continues to learn and grow in that role.

Thank you, Captain Farr, for your dedication, passion, and 17 years of service to the Plymouth community!

What a GREAT day at Tom & Jerry’s! ☀️⛳️🚒👮‍♂️

A huge thank you to everyone who came out for Silly Saturday & Community Fun Day and spent some time with members of the Plymouth Fire Department and Plymouth Police Department, WI!

We had a LOT of fun today! From playing mini-golf and taking on the silly challenges to the yard games, face painting, and dunk tank, there was something for everyone.

And for those who made their way to the dunk tank…you got the opportunity to dunk Police Chief Ruggles, Deputy Police Chief Starker, AND Fire Chief Klug!

Most importantly, today gave us another opportunity to get out of the station, meet our community, and spend time with the people we are proud to serve.

Even better, your support today is helping our Holiday Heroes Program, a Plymouth Fire & Police Department program that helps bring some extra Christmas joy to children in our community this holiday season. 🎄❤️

A special thank you to Tom & Jerry's Mini Golf & Batting Cages for hosting this incredible community event and for donating a portion of today’s sales to the Holiday Heroes Program. Your generosity and commitment to our community means so much!

We also want to recognize Badger State Restoration for being such a tremendous supporter of today’s event. From providing the green space for our activities to picnic tables and so much more, their support helped create the space where our community could come together and have a great day. We truly appreciate their investment in Plymouth and in our kids!

And thank you to the PHS Swim Team for the delicious burger and brat fry, and to everyone who participated, donated, volunteered, painted faces, filled the dunk tank, played mini-golf, or simply stopped by to say hello.

You helped make today about more than just having fun, you helped us make a difference for local kids this Christmas.

We are proud to serve Plymouth and even prouder to be part of a community that comes together to help one another.

Thank you, Plymouth! 🚒❤️👮‍♂️
