Thanks to our hardworking and sweaty crew from this morning. Stephanie and Sydney Halter joined Rosella, Joyce, and Marcia to finish the w**ding at the Green Street Parking lot. We laid newspaper and cardboard on the ground and spread about nine cubic yards of fresh wood chips over the area. Next fall, we’ll be adding new plants: hosta in the shaded areas and some low-growing bushes near the entrance. Thanks also to Rob and Jessie from the Parks Department who moved all those chips for us!

With the rain and summer heat it seems that the w**ds are never ending. This week, we had a small crew at the Green Street Parking handling some serious w**ding of the Stella D’oro lilies at the entrance. Rest assured that we are handling business 👩‍🌾

Today, some members pulled w**ds and collected trash along the road near the towns North Welcome Sign! Others pruned and did some w**d whacking behind the sign, the cleanup really makes the sign stand out :) The plants we put in survived over the winter and are filling in beautifully.

Our next plan is to remove the jersey barriers and install natural stones on the outer edges of Dirt Lot parking lot!

Join us tomorrow to take care the Silver Center Slope from 9am-11am.

This past Friday had beautiful weather which allowed our members take care of the gardens near the Silver Center. One of the first places visitors see when they enter town!
