Being a father means answering the call—whether it’s at home or in the community.

Today, we recognize all the dads who lead with strength, serve with compassion, and make sacrifices for their families every day. We especially honor the fathers within our firehouse family who balance the responsibilities of parenthood with their commitment to protecting and serving others.

From everyone at Harmonville Fire Company No. 1, we wish all fathers a safe, happy, and well-deserved Father’s Day.

🚔🚒 COP CAMP 2026 🚔🚒

Today, Harmonville Fire Company and Plymouth Fire Company No. 1 (Montco 43) was welcomed by the Plymouth Township Police Department to Cop Camp for a hands-on look at the fire service!

The kids got to watch a vehicle extrication demonstration, use our booster line to help “knock down a fire,” try on firefighter gear, and take a tour of our rescue truck.

We enjoy this event every year and are already looking forward to next year!

For this week's drill night, members of Harmonville Fire Company No.1 visited the Montgomery County Fire Academy for a live burn training which allows firefighters to experience realistic fire conditions in a controlled environment.

Crews rotated throughout the night utilizing the "residential" side of the burn building to practice different aspects of a fire such as fire attack, search and rescue, ventilation, communication, hose line advancement, and incident command while experiencing the heat, smoke, and challenges that come with an incident like this.

Just as crews were returning back to the firehouse after assisting Barren Hill Volunteer Fire Company at their overnight house fire, we were dispatched to assist the Norristown Fire Department with a reported apartment fire.

A crew with Engine 44-1 made the response, was assigned as the iRIT (Initial Rapid Intervention Team), and conducted searches on the first floor of the fire building which came up negative.
