It is important for all participants to remember that Board meetings are held in public but are not public meetings. Members of the public may be recognized and allowed input during the meeting, at the discretion of the Chairman of the Board. The Idaho Open Public Meeting Law prohibits the Board from acting on items that are not on the agenda.

The mere presence of a representative of the public agency’s risk manager or insurance provider at an executive session does not satisfy this requirement;

Today is the first day of burn permits. If you wish to burn within city limits please come down to the station and get your permits. For outside city limits you can call the Dept of Lands at (208) 245-4551. Or visit their website at
