Senior Support Program of the Tri-Valley

Senior Support Program of the Tri-Valley Senior Support Program of the Tri-Valley is an independent, non-profit agency serving people over 60 in the cities of Pleasanton, Livermore, Dublin & Sunol

SSPTV was established in 1981 with a Friendly Visitor volunteer program serving 35 seniors. It has since grown to include over 12 programs serving seniors in the Tri-Valley area. We pride ourselves in listening to the needs of our area’s senior citizens and their families to create programs to fit those needs. Since 2006 we have been an independent non-profit 501(c)3 organization. Funding for our

programs is provided through grants from the cities of Pleasanton, Livermore, and Dublin, the Alameda County Departments of Behavioral Health, Area Agency on Aging, and Public Health, and Measure A Alameda County Health Care Services, Supervisor Scott Haggerty, Public Authority for In-Home Support Services, Alameda County Transportation Commission, Kaiser Permanente, and Individual Donations.

Senior Support of the Tri-Valley announces merger with CityServe of the Tri-Valley!

Senior Support of the Tri-Valley will merge with CityServe of the Tri-Valley in September, the Senior Support board announced.

The merger will culminate months of study and planning that commenced in late 2021. Both organizations believe the merger will result in better services for the seniors they
both serve.

“Our board has anticipated the need for systematic change and has been working diligently with our attorney and consultant on a merger agreement with CityServe since late 2021,” said Christine Sevier, president of the 41-year-old Senior Support. “Merging
with CityServe enables us to connect with and serve more seniors." The move is also directly aligned with California’s Master Plan on Aging, No Wrong Door approach.

“Our desire is to benefit more seniors and have better outcomes especially in difficult times,” she said.

Christine Beitsch-Bahmani, the CEO of CityServe of the Tri-Valley, will lead the merged organization.

She said, “Our mission is to always assist residents by caring, coordinating and connecting those in need of resources and to mobilize volunteers in the community. We feel that this
merger will allow us to continue doing what we’ve always done, but with a greater overall impact and an intentional reach into the older adult community. Together we are better positioned to
serve the entire family ranging from 0-100 years old. - housed or unhoused.”

Senior Support Program of the Tri-Valley was established in 1981 to serve seniors. It has evolved as the complex needs of seniors increased. The agency has expanded
programs to include counseling, support groups, health screenings, visitation, care management, and transportation services.

CityServe of the Tri-Valley was founded by a group of churches desiring to serve the community more effectively in 2009. It has grown so it is the key point of contact for local residents facing housing and other issues through contracts with the three cities.
Supporters include businesses, local governments, service-minded individuals and churches.

Sevier said, “When we collaborate, everyone wins, and I am committed and look forward to supporting the greatest generation that ever lived"
