DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE POSITION

Position performs basic apprentice-level public work functions, including but not limited to streets,
storm drain, and other related activities of the city. Specifically, this position participates in
snowplowing, crack-sealing, main line repairs, and works on both long- and short- term projects.

DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE POSITION
On a full-time basis, the position performs routine maintenance on the City’s equipment, vehicles, and varying complexity of repairs. The position will also provide public work functions, including but not limited to streets, storm drain and parks.

Happy Holidays everyone! If you have a Christmas tree you would like to get rid off, you can put it on your park strip and our Public Work staff will pick it up and dispose of it for you. This will be available to every Pleasant View City resident until the end of February, 2021.

As some of you may have noticed, we are now starting to get some asphalt on the road going to the Bonneville Shoreline Trail. Please remain patient and follow the contractors rules and guidlines to keep yourself and the contractors safe until this project is complete.

Even on Halloween night, our Public Works Department is hard at work on a main break. We would like to thank our residents and our Police Department for being aware of the surroundings in our city and keeping the surrounding area safe!

On October 5, 2020 from 7:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. there will be a road closure on 600W (from 3000N to Pleasant View Dr.)

Secondary water will be shut off from the given times (7 A.M. - 9 P.M.) The secondary water line will be connected from the existing Pineview water line to the new Pineview secondary water line from the new subdivision.

Shady Lane Park can still be accessed from 3000N.

Please follow road signage as posted.

The map attached is a representation on where the closure will take place and the detour route to take.

Also note, the gravel truck route will be diverted to 1100W due to this closure with the tight turns.
