The election results are not official yet, but based upon the current results it appears that my opponent Darren Fairlie is going to be the new Town Justice fo Pleasant Valley. I'd like to take the opportunity to congratulate him and wish him well in his work. I want to also thank the People of Pleasant Valley for your support in this campaign and election. It has been a great pleasure to meet and speak with so many of you, and to have served you as Town Judge. Finally, I'd also like to take the opportunity to thank Frank A Mazzella, Mary Kirchhoff Albrecht, Dan Degan, and Michael Rifenburgh, for all of their support through this campaign; I was honored to have run with you.

Tomorrow November 2nd is Election Day. No matter what party you are with or not with, or who you support, I strongly encourage you to come out and participate by voting. I am deeply honored to have been endorsed by three former (retired) judges, Hon. Emily Goodman, Hon. Richard Braun, and Hon. Anthony Carpinello. All three sat on the Supreme Court bench, and Judge Carpinello was an associate justice of the Appellate Division, Third Department. Dear Friends and Neighbors,

I have been asked about endorsements given to my opponent from Dutchess County law enforcement. I would like to address that briefly. While I applaud my opponent on any endorsements he has received, my view of this issue apparently differs from his. It is my view that the judiciary must be and must appear to be entirely independent from law enforcement. Out of a deep respect for that belief and the concerns of the People, I have not sought the endorsement of any law enforcement agency, as the giving of any such endorsement could create the appearance that, as judge, I am not independent from such law enforcement agencies. I believe that these concerns outweigh any political benefit that could be received from such endorsements.

As always, thank you for your time. I will be honored if you choose me to continue as your Town Justice.

To my supporters and the people of Pleasant Valley, yesterday was primary day on the working families and conservative lines for the general election in November. My goal has been to separate politics from my campaign, as I believe it inappropriate for a judicial position to be subject to such influences. My opponents apparently have, unfortunately, resorted to frivolous lawsuits at the expense of the people of Pleasant Valley, and false statements about me in order to garner support for their candidate, a person who I do not know but congratulate on his resulting success in the primary. I look forward to highlighting the facts that I am committed to the People of Pleasant Valley and that my credentials are unparalleled amongst the candidates for the position of Town Justice for Pleasant Valley, and to winning the general election. Until then, I will continue to serve the people of Pleasant Valley as Town Justice.
