The Sipayik Fire Department has made the decision to move from one monthly meeting/training to one monthly meeting and one full day of training each month. We felt we did not have enough time to truly train at the level our community deserves.

The commitment and dedication shown by the personnel of the Sipayik Fire Department is incredible. We are here to serve the community to the absolute best of our abilities, and training is the most critical step in fulfilling that mission.

Thank you to all the firefighters of the Sipayik Fire Department for your continued dedication, sacrifice, and commitment to protecting our people and community.

Fire Chief Newell Back in the Classroom One Step Forward for Our Community

Today in EMT class, Chief Newell and Lieutenant Karina Barnes took part in hands on training focused on childbirth and emergency delivery. It was a powerful reminder that emergencies can happen at any time, and our community must be ready to respond when families need us the most.

Both Chief Newell and Lieutenant Barnes are stepping up putting in the time and effort to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to better serve our people. Their willingness to be in the classroom shows true leadership not just talking about change, but doing the work to make it happen.

We have been working toward bringing back our ambulance services, and that goal requires dedication training, and commitment. This EMT class represents one of those important steps forward. It shows that we are serious about strengthening emergency services and ensuring our community has the care it deserves when seconds matter most.

This EMT class is one step forward and many more will follow.
Our community deserves reliable emergency care and we are working hard to make that happen.

Today the Sipayik Fire Department conducted our annual hose and ladder testing with Central Maine Hose Testing. This process is critical to ensuring our equipment is safe, reliable, and ready to perform when our firefighters and community depend on it most.

Regular testing helps us bring our equipment up to standard and identify any issues before they become problems. Our firefighters trust this equipment with their lives, and it is our responsibility as a department to make sure everything is operating at the highest level of safety and performance.

Maintaining our hose and ladders is not just about compliance it is about protecting our members and continuing to provide the best possible service to the Sipayik community and our mutual aid partners.

We appreciate the professionalism and thorough work provided by Central Maine Hose Testing, and we thank our firefighters for their continued commitment to safety, readiness, and serving our community.
