Firehouse Renovation Update:

Drywall is up, the shower stalls are installed, and mudding and sanding are underway. Painting and tile work are next. We remain on schedule and anticipate completing the renovation on or before November 1, 2026.

Many residents have asked whether voting will take place at the firehouse this year. Yes — voting will still be held at Station 81. Depending on construction progress, it may be located in the meeting hall or in the apparatus bays, but work should be finished before the November elections. Please confirm voting details with your local election office to ensure accuracy.

Renovations continue at the firehouse. Underground plumbing and concrete work has been completed, framing should be wrapped up this week and ruff plumbing, electric and HVAC has begun.

When completed we will have new Men's and Women's restrooms, additional restroom/shower facilities for our fire and EMS personnel, 5 bunkrooms capable of sleeping 7 personnel and a small lounge/kitchenette.

This project is being funded complete without increasing taxes using surplus funds from the original firehouse bond.

Station 81 is 25 years old this year and HTFR will celebrate 50 years of service in 2027!

Engine 81 and Medic 81 with 6 personnel responded to this structure fire in Hamilton Twp last night.

Additional HTFR personnel staffed the station and responded to several storm related calls. Luckily the majority of storm damage was south and west of Harlan Twp.

Firefighters and police responded to put out a fire during severe storms in Hamilton Township on Tuesday afternoon. FULL STORY ⬇️
