Pleasant Gap Fire Company Our department provides Fire, Rescue, and Emergency Medical Services to the citizens of Pleasant Gap

Pleasant Gap (Centre County Company 8) is located in Spring Township, Centre County, Pennsylvania. Our department provides Fire, Rescue, and Emergency Medical Services to the citizens of Pleasant Gap and parts of Spring, Benner, and Walker townships. We also respond as the primary Fire and Emergency Medical Service to the State Correctional Institutions at Rockview and Benner, and when called upon we provide mutual aid service to the surrounding communities. We operate the following apparatus:

1 Tanker (Tender) Unit:
1 Special Unit
1 Water Rescue/Technical Rescue Trailer
1 Utility Unit:
1 Brush Truck Unit:
3 BLS (Basic Life Support/ILS)
Transport Ambulances Units
We also still own our first “modern” fire engine, a 1936 Dodge / American LaFrance pumper.

🚨Two mutual aid fires🚨

Just prior to 9pm last evening, Engine 8 and Tanker 8 were dispatched to assist Centre Hall Volunteer Fire Company with a possible building fire. Chief 4 arrived to find a barn well involved off of Indian Lane. Engine 8 was assigned to a fill site at the Old Fort Sheetz to fill tankers while Tanker 8 supplied water to the scene. Units operated until approximately 230am.

Today at 1119am, Taker 8 was dispatched to assist Howard Fire Company with a building fire. Again units arrived to find a well involved building and a second alarm assignment was dispatched. Tanker 8 assisted with water supply until being released.

Tanker 8 is responding to the 163 Eastbound of Interstate 80 for a vehicle crash with fire.

Earlier tonight, Pleasant Gap Fire Company was alerted to set up a landing zone for Geisinger Medical Center - Life Flight. Crews arrived at station to set up Engine 8. Chief 8 had the command.

Due to HIPAA, no details of the patient or their condition will be released. Thanks for understanding.
