This morning the Platteville Community Fund, a component fund of The Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin, awarded $46,501.72 in grants to twelve local nonprofit organizations and projects.
▪ The City of Platteville funded by the Carmen & Eva Beining Community Fund to support the purchase of a replacement stove at the Broske Center.
▪ The City of Platteville Museum Department funded by the Hap and Bab Daus Community
Endowment Fund to purchase hands on dress-up clothing for exhibit space at the Mining & Rollo
Jamison Museum.
▪ Grant County Historical Society funded by the Platteville Community Fund to purchase the supplies
for the steppingstone path at the Mitchell-Rountree Stone Cottage.
▪ Inspiring Community Inc. funded by the Platteville Community Fund to support the Platteville Family Aquatic Center (PFAC) Pool.
▪ Platteville Chorale, Inc. funded by the Platteville Community Fund to purchase T-Shirts for singers in the Platteville Children's Choirs, directors, and accompanists.
▪ Platteville Community Arboretum, Inc. funded by the Clarence Gribble Trust to support the expansion Trail Railroad Bridge Restoration.
▪ Platteville Holiday Project funded by the Robert & Marion Graham Community Fund will be used to support the Adopt-A-Family Program for Platteville School District Families.
▪ Platteville Music Boosters funded by the Clarence Gribble Trust to support the Platteville High School Auditorium Sound System Upgrade.
▪ Platteville School District funded by the Robert & Marion Graham Community Fund to support the purchase of supplies for the Platteville Packs Food Bag Initiative.
▪ Platteville School District funded by the Schneller-Tang Community Fund to purchase various metal along with lab equipment that can be used to explore their unique chemical and physical properties.
▪ UW-Platteville Foundation & Alumni Association funded by the Ralph & Joan Faherty Family Community Endowment to support the Ethan Squires Memorial Steinway Piano Campaign.
▪ Wisconsin Badger Camp, Inc. funded by the Robert & Marion Graham Community Fund to support the Active Fun for Every Ability: Gaga Ball Pit Initiative.
The Platteville Community Fund seeks to support projects or programs that support innovative projects for children and families, community access, and sustainability as well as those for events and activities that promote the arts and diversity in the Platteville Area. Since 2002, the Platteville Community Fund has awarded
more than $1,400,000 through hundreds of grants for projects and initiatives in the Platteville area.
