Our thoughts are with our neighboring department, their members, and the family and friends of their fallen brother/sister during this difficult time.

We stand with our fire service family as they come together to honor and remember a life dedicated to serving others.

Please keep their department, loved ones, and community in your thoughts as they gather to honor their fallen member.

The Greeley Fire Department invites our community to join us as we honor the life and service of Firefighter Alden Foote.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 17, at 10:00 a.m. at the Union Colony Civic Center, Monfort Concert Hall.

We are grateful for the tremendous support shown to Alden’s family and our GFD family. We hope you will join us as we come together to remember and honor Alden.

Today, we pause to honor and remember the 2,977 lives lost on September 11, 2001. We hold in our hearts the families whose lives were changed forever, the brave first responders who ran toward danger without hesitation, and the incredible acts of unity, bravery, and compassion that rose from the ashes.

We also honor and remember the tens of thousands of first responders, survivors, and residents who have lost their lives- or continue to fight devastating illnesses-in the years since due to toxic exposure from the fallen towers. Their sacrifice, bravery, and suffering must never be overlooked.

Time moves forward, but our promise remains unchanged: We will never forget.

PGFPD is working with The Department of Wildlife to safely secure an animal in the area.

For everyone’s safety, 11th Street is closed between Birch Street and Vine Street. Please avoid the area and do not approach or attempt to interact with the animal.

DOW is asking everyone to stay away from the area to give the animal the space it needs to remain calm while crews work to safely secure it.

Please use an alternate route and follow the direction of emergency personnel. We appreciate your cooperation as we work to safely resolve the situation.

Does the fire hydrant near your house work? We test them every year to find out.

We know seeing water flow from a hydrant during a drought can raise questions. Annual hydrant testing is an essential part of keeping our community safe. It allows us to verify that each hydrant is working properly, provides adequate water flow, and is ready if firefighters need it during an emergency.

A few minutes of testing today helps ensure your neighborhood has reliable fire protection when it matters most. Thank you for your understanding as we complete this important annual safety check!
