On the last day of school, we recognized several of our 8th grade students with well-deserved awards celebrating their hard work, leadership, growth, and achievements during their three years at PCMS.

Our 8th Grade Bash was a success! Our 8th graders got to spend one of their last days of middle school at the zoo with all the other wild animals. 🦁🐒🐘

Thank you to our 8th grade teachers, parent chaperones, and PTO for helping make this fun trip possible and a great memory for our students as they wrap up their middle school years!

About 50 of our 7th and 8th grade PLTW students spent time creating adorable monster dolls and delivered them to kindergartners at Siegrist Elementary on Tuesday! 👾❤️

Our students loved sharing their creativity and bringing smiles to the younger students. Thank you, Mrs. Robertson for giving them such a fun way to connect our schools and spread a little joy!

Our Platte City Middle School PTO takes incredible care of our staff, and we are so grateful for everything they have done for us this school year!

From running an amazing fundraiser that helped fund the purchase of our “Red One” golf cart — which helps us transport PE students to and from the football field, get to other buildings quickly, and assist Officer Davis in keeping our students safe — to funding field trips like this year’s 8th Grade Bash at the Kansas City Zoo, their support has made a huge impact on our school.

They have also spoiled our staff by providing meals multiple times throughout the year, showering us with thoughtful gifts during Staff Appreciation Week, and today they generously paid off a large portion of our students’ negative lunch balances.

We truly appreciate all of the volunteers who serve on the PTO and give so much of their time to support our students and staff. If you are interested in getting involved next year, please contact Sarah Golden to learn more about volunteer opportunities!

We are extremely grateful to Pastor Curt Vignery and Dr. Chris Miller of Judah City Church for not only donating lunch to our weary staff during this last week of school, but also for helping cover a large portion of our negative lunch balances.

Their generosity and support mean so much to our students and staff. ❤️

Our 6th grade students have been working hard on a Food Truck Project in their ELA classes! To celebrate the completion of the project, KC Whip & Company visited on Monday, and students had the opportunity to purchase some delicious treats. It was a fun way to celebrate all of their creativity and hard work!
