Enjoyed the Meet & Mingle in Parkville this evening. I had the opportunity to speak with many attendees and discuss the upcoming Board of Equalization hearings as well as Senior Tax Credit application processing. Thank you for the invitation Brian Whitley - Parkville Alderman Ward 2 and Alderman Mark Hill.

Always love connecting with Parkville Police Department; the department my husband first worked at in his law enforcement career. Fun fact: Lincoln Pruitt and Captain Jordan (featured in photo) worked together many years ago and have always stayed in contact.

📣📣 Last week, we approved a resolution to put opioid settlement funds to work here in Platte County and here’s what that means.

These funds, secured through national settlements, must be used for prevention, treatment, and recovery efforts. I worked to help bring these dollars directly to Platte County, rather than continuing the previous practice of sending them to the state, so they can make a real impact locally.

We’re directing them to our Treatment Court programs through PACT, helping people access support earlier and address substance use before it leads deeper into the justice system.

Being an engaged office holder means making sure resources are used where they have real impact. I’m committed to ensuring these funds are handled thoughtfully, transparently, and in a way that strengthens our community.

This is a strong step forward and we’re just getting started!

Today I met with my fellow County Clerks at the Northwest Regional Training in Richmond, MO! We participated in a round table discussion as well as heard from Senator Kurt Gregory. Great dialogue with Senator Gregory about SB3, known as the Homestead Credit. Senator Gregory co-sponsored the legislation and helped clarify many questions.

Thank you to Platte County, Missouri, Republican Central Committee for putting on such a great event! Enjoyed the opportunity to speak about how my office has implemented the Senior Tax Credit Program and we’re already hard at work planning for the voter approved Homestead Credit.
