🚨 NOTICE TO THE COMMUNITY 🚨
BAYOU SORREL & BAYOU PIGEON BRIDGE OPENING NOTICE

Beginning tonight, the Bayou Sorrel Bridge and Bayou Pigeon Bridge will be opened nightly from 12:00 AM - 3:00 AM (starting early Thursday morning, May 28) until further notice to assist with increased water outflow and help lower water levels in the Bayou Sorrel and Bayou Pigeon communities.

These overnight bridge openings are part of ongoing efforts to improve drainage conditions as additional rainfall and elevated water levels continue to impact the area.

Please also be advised that the Iberville Parish Sheriff's Office has emergency response plans in place. Law Enforcement and Ambulance Services will remain available 24 hours a day throughout this event and an operator will remain on site and will close the bridge as needed.

If you experience an emergency, please call immediately for assistance.

We appreciate the public's patience and cooperation as crews continue monitoring conditions and working to protect our communities.

Today we honor and celebrate Neila Heck on her retirement after 25 years of dedicated service. Congratulations Neila!
