Entergy’s contractor, ULCS, will begin work on a new transmission line running from Plaquemine through White Castle, starting Tuesday, May 5.⁠
⁠
You may notice increased helicopter activity in the area as crews transport poles and materials from the laydown yard to the right-of-way. This is a normal part of the construction process.⁠

Some areas in Plaquemine are currently experiencing a power outage due to a motor-vehicle accident on Bayou Jacob road. City crews are on scene and working to restore service at this time.
