Hard to believe we are soon closing another service year. Last night, April New Member Orientation was held at home of Jessie D. We welcomed 6 new members for our 2026-2027 service league year: Amanda M., Hannah M., Alex C., Sarah Grace B., Carlee K., and Anne D.
Welcome, ladies! They are excited to start their commitment of serving our community.

Claudia B. read Dinosaur Mardi Gras to the 2nd graders at Crescent Elementary School. There was more than just reading this time…they sang along to the Mardi Gras tune! 💜💚💛

The students of St. John Elementary enjoyed their break from normal classroom learning while league member Brennon N. read a book to them! We love our RIF project and so do the children. 📚

What a beautiful day for the annual Christmas party! 🌲 🎅🏼 Our Christmas party brought together current and past league members. The rooms were filled with laughter and holiday cheer, and were made even more special with the beautiful decorations of festive colors that created the perfect seasonal atmosphere. Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate. A special thank you to Lauren C. for opening up her beautiful home! I would also like to thank chair-Claudia B. and Jessie D. assistants-Ashley D. and Lauren C as well as all other league members who helped in anyway to make this event possible today! From all of Plaquemine Service League, we wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Recently league members Taylor O and Jessica S took these precious pups for walks with one of our newest projects, Rescue Run Club. They are the sweetest and deserve loving homes! Visit Iberville Animal Shelter to see them ❤️

League members Brennon N, Jenna M, Gracie B, and Jessica S helped with 4H’s mini chef camp Monday and Tuesday. The kids had a blast making chicken quesadillas, cinnamon rolls, personal pizzas, and edible cookie dough. Thank you to 4H agent Shelby G. for having us!

Several of our Plaquemine Service League members participated in the Iberville Parish Salute to Veterans to help honor the brave men and women that have served our country. From all of us in Plaquemine Service League- thank you, veterans, today and everyday for all you’ve given and all you continue to inspire 🇺🇸

League member, Claudia Bourgeois read to Crescent Elementary’s second graders this week as part of RIF.
The students enjoyed listening to their two readings, and choosing a book of their own.

On October 1st, Plaquemine Service League members Jenna M, and Gracie B participated in our new project Rescue Run Club with the Iberville Parish Animal Shelter. They spent time with shelter dogs to provide enrichment and exercise. Here is some information on the adoptable pups:

Rex (black dog) is approximately a 6 yr old male catahoula mix. He is heart worm + but is working on his treatment. Rex is one dog friendly chill dude!

Crickett (white dog) is a 3 year old red heeler border collie mix. She is heart worm + but working on her treatment. Crickett is very smart and dog friendly.
