🇺🇸🐾 Remembering September 11, 2001 🐾🇺🇸

Today, we remember the innocent lives lost, the families forever changed, and the brave first responders who answered the call on September 11, 2001.

We also honor the search-and-rescue dogs who worked tirelessly alongside firefighters, police officers, and rescue teams at Ground Zero and the Pentagon. These courageous animals searched through dangerous debris, helped locate victims, and provided comfort during one of our nation’s darkest moments.

We remember the beloved family pets who were also affected—some separated from their owners and others who never saw their families return home.

Their courage, loyalty, and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

We will always remember. September 11, 2001. 🇺🇸❤️🐕🐾

Congratulations to our Town Clerk, Brandy Smith, on her outstanding completion of the Jim Ingram CLI Class of 2026 Cohort. The Jim Ingram CLI is a prestigious two year leadership development program designed to strengthen community leadership skills while fostering both personal and professional growth. Participants complete one year of intensive training followed by one year dedicated to meaningful community reinvestment.

Brandy excelled in every aspect of the program. As part of her cohort’s community service initiative, she contributed to a remarkable group project that raised $10,464.46 to provide 161 beds for Beds for Kids, a local charity organization committed to ensuring children in need have a safe and comfortable place to sleep. This project set a new record by raising more funds than any cohort in the program’s history.

Congratulations again, Brandy, and thank you for continuing to make our town proud! 🥳
