The Broward OEM Facebook account provides OEM with a Social Media Outlet from which we are able to provide an integrated communication strategy for the Office's efforts to be as transparent and open to the general public as possible without neglecting the need to keep Emergency Management, Law Enforcement, Fire/Rescue, and other related agency representatives informed:
Everyday Information to the
General Public about the Division’s responsibilities. Develop a means by which we can provide the public with information regarding all potential hazards to our community. Guide the general public to our primary EMD and Hurricane Websites where we can provide detailed information and recommendations. Provide an outlet where we can inform the public and first responders about developing incidents, events, or activities (ie – hurricane, tornado, flooding, Super Bowl, etc.). Provide an outlet for active events (ie, pictures and information of specific incidents and events).
