Nostalgic morning. We have celebrated the final Fort Poppell Christmas and New Year. Next year we will be holiday visitors to Lakeland/Plant City and hopefully Fort Poppell will be renamed and new occupants will be making cherished memories. A few more gatherings to go culminating with the Grand Finale Kentucky Derby Party which will also be my dad's 80th Birthday Party. It has been such fun!!!

Bird life is alive and well at Fort Poppell. We have a nest in the chimney and at least one nest in the barn. I'm sure there are also countless nests in the trees and shrubs. The chirping and tweeting is fun to hear.
