At Texas LAFS yesterday one of the greats in the Life and Fire Safety (LAFS) community, recieved a proper lifetime achievement award.

To recap,

Per Jeff Bates. "29 years ago, this dude had a vision and brought it to the administration. Plano LAFS was born from that and Chris Jefferson served as "Snozzle D Clown" to bring life and fire safety messages to approximately a quarter of a million school age kids in Plano over the next 20 or so years.

Although he isn't clowning around with us anymore, he still is a valuable advisor to the program and one of my closest friends at Plano Fire-Rescue. He now will be forever honored on the wall of fame for Texas LAFS. It is truly a well earned and deserved honor."

We at Plano LAFS agree and now he will be forever next to his pal and partner Calvin Cook "pAtChEs".

Thank you from all of us, and the well over 250k kids you taught over those years.

If a small grease or cooking fire starts during your preparations, smother the flames by sliding a lid over the pan and turning off the burner. Leave the pan covered until it is completely cooled. For more cooking tips, visit: http://nfpa.social/YLyx50Q65EE
